Is Random Design and Random Designer consistent with Scripture? |

Random Design and Random Designer are completely consistent with
revelatory interpretations of scripture: God is the Creator, we are created in His
image, and there is a grand purpose behind the overall process.
Random Design is totally inconsistent with a strictly literal interpretation of scripture.
Fortunately however, scripture was never meant to be interpreted this way.
I am fully aware that some more conservative evangelical Christians hold that in order
to be a ‘true’ Christian, this is the only possible interpretation. This is unfortunate,
incredibly divisive, and in fact, does not conform to mainstream scholarship on the matter.
The truth is that the highest intelligence is not strictly literal. When the interpretation
of Holy Scriptures is restricted in this way, we automatically close the door to deeper
meanings and purposes that God might reveal to us.
In reality, God has given us two books: the book of His revealed word, and the book of His
revealed world. Both of these revelations help us better understand the nature of God.
And in the final analysis, my belief is that these books are truly relating the same story.
